- Optimize search results. Customers are looking for you online — make sure you’re showing up in search results. Claim your small business listing on Google, Bing, and other search engines. Also, consider investing in localized pay-per-click advertising with key terms that homeowners are using during the summer season, such as “air conditioning” instead of “furnace.”
